SHINI - The Case of Whole Plant Planning in Protective Appliances Industry
Shini is continuously supporting its customers and cherish their successful stories that the customers add value to the industry despite of the current outbreak. In this article we would like to share about one of our customers' case story from China.
Besides the fame in the eight series of auxiliary plastic machinery, Shini Group is also well known for the central feeding system. As the global spreading of the COVID-19 epidemics, people give particular attention to personal protective issues. Recently, Shini designed a central feeding system for a domestic technology company specializing in producing safety helmets, climbing helmets, protective masks, earmuffs, smart nursing devices, and other safety and health products won the praise of the company.

Central Conveying System
There are 22 injection molding machines in the customer’s workshop, 11 of which require two colors of materials. In order to prevent color residues in the pipeline, each injection molding machine uses two independent pipelines. On the basis of overall planning, the system makes full use of the existing equipment in the workshop, and 14 dryers are in the plan to process different materials. The dried materials are transported to corresponding hoppers after getting into relevant pipelines via the material distribution station. In total, four blowers are adopted for conveying materials, of which one blower is used for conveying materials in the feeding area, 2 blowers are used for the hoppers in the injection molding area, and another blower is for standby.
Water and Electricity Planning Program
In the workshop, 22 sets of the injection molding machines require two kinds of water supplies: a half of them need chilled water in the high temperature condition, and the rest of them only need normal temperature cooling water. The normal temperature cooling water system consists of the cooling water tower, variable frequency pump group, stainless steel water tank, auto purging filter and the automatic water softener. However, the low temperature chilled water system uses existing water-cooled water chiller SIC-25W-HP that can achieve chilled water supply to the molds of 11 machines by switching the valve under high temperature. Besides, the design of reversed return pipeline system ensures the balance of flow and pressure at each water supply station, and each branch pipe has a temperature and pressure meter, which can check the water supply at the end in real time. The pipeline and equipment is connected by the SUS304 shockproof hose that makes a safe and organized assembly.

On the basis of existing resources of the customer, we make overall planning of the compressed air system according to the statistics of all gas demands, and connect the air compressors to the system at the same time. The two air compressors can be switched during the maintenance to ensure reliable air supply. Meanwhile, we plan six power distribution cabinets for the system, which are used in the injection molding workshops, circulating water systems, air compressors and feeders respectively. Besides, the power distribution cabinet complies with the China Compulsory Certification. Its main incoming cable is the single core cable that ensures easy installation and electrical safety. In the workshop, the cable bridge adopts aluminum alloy cable ladder that is good for cable heat dissipation.
