TaipeiPLAS 2022 Welcomes Back International Attendees in Person

The physical edition of TaipeiPLAS is scheduled to return from September 27 to October 1 this year at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 in conjunction with ShoeTech Taipei. Key industry players from home and abroad such as ARBURG, BASF, CHEN HSONG, CYKF, DIING KUEN, ENGEL, FCS, FKI, HUARONG, LIENFA, MULTIPLAS, POLYSTAR, VICTOR TAICHUNG, WITTMANN BATTENFELD, YE I all gear up to make a splash at TaipeiPLAS 2022 by presenting their smart machines and smart manufacturing solutions. With 300 exhibitors in 1,300 booths, TaipeiPLAS 2022 has proven critical to be Asia’s most iconic plastics, rubber & shoemaking machinery trade show of the year.

This year’s TaipeiPLAS focuses on three major themes - "Smart Machinery," "Next-gen Materials" and "Circular Economy - Net Zero Carbon Emissions." For big brands from home and abroad, TaipeiPLAS is the perfect platform to demonstrate their dynamics of innovation.

The plastics and rubber manufacturing has become greatly different from what it was, says TAITRA, the organizer of TaipeiPLAS. In the past, the manufacturing processes of plastics and rubber such as the parameters setting, the material selection, and the processing of complex components relied on the operation and judgment of experienced labor. The smart manufacturing technologies today have turned the production line to be fully automated, more efficient, meanwhile, led the industry to create new business models.

FCS and FKI for example, the leading injection manufacture and extrusion blow moulding manufacture in Taiwan have integrated Manufacturing Execution System (MES) into every section of their machine production and assembly lines. Multiple benefits are achieved, including more accurate production control, improved quality management and production cost reduction. ARBURG, a global leader of injection moulding machines for plastics processing, will introduce the fibre direct compounding technology, which are applied particularly within the automotive and aerospace sectors.

The "Circular Economy" is no doubt a significant issue for the industry. Industrial transformation and evolution from upstream to mid-downstream, from material research to manufacturing, processing, and the implement of smart manufacturing, are required, with the aim to develop closed loop supply chains for environmental sustainability.

TaipeiPLAS 2022 adopts the slogan “Shaping New PLASbility” to highlight a wide range of applications and innovations developed by the plastics and rubber industry for EV, health care, aerospace and green construction sectors, meanwhile, the industry’s constant striving for recycling, energy conservation and innovative materials. For example, ARBURG, a global leader of injection moulding machines for plastics processing, will introduce the fibre direct compounding technology, which are applied particularly within the automotive and aerospace sectors. Besides, HUARONG, a master in spin-form diversified multi-injection, will showcase the latest models to meet the demand for customized multi-color and intelligent LED lights.

In addition, TaipeiPLAS is rolling out a slate of hybrid events and services, including Sustainability Forum, On-site Guide for Online Visitors, PLASpotlight Live, themed guided tours, procurement meetings and a month-long online exhibition, September 27 to October 27, all together to explore the innovative trends in plastic and rubber industry and also to create a refreshing exhibition experience.
