From Cup to Car Parts: CLF’s TWII-250 Shows How You Can See It All in One Shot

If you walk through any supermarket in the world today, you’ll find a shelf full of yogurt cups. These unassuming plastic containers—lightweight, uniform, safe— are often taken for granted. But behind their perfect symmetry lies a story of precision, speed, and global innovation. This year at K Show 2025, CLF Machinery (Chuan Lih Fa) is taking this everyday item and turning it into a headline: introducing the TWII-250 Injection Molding Machine, live on-site producing food-grade yogurt cups.

Why yogurt cups? “Because everyone understands them,” says Jenny, Marketing Director of CLF. “It’s a daily product. You don’t need to be an engineer to appreciate the quality required to make it right. That’s how we bring technology closer to life.”

A Small Machine with Big Ideas

CLF is traditionally known for its large-tonnage, customized injection molding machines, especially in automotive and industrial applications. But don't let that reputation overshadow their versatility. The TWII-250 proves that small-tonnage doesn’t mean small performance.

So why choose the TWII-250 for the K Show spotlight?

Jenny explains: “We wanted a model that could demonstrate both technical strength and wide-ranging application. The TWII-250 features our signature five-point toggle system that reduces platen deformation and improves clamping precision. The force is concentrated at the mold center and distributed evenly across the platen, which minimizes warping and guarantees high-quality outputs.”

In this demo, the TWII-250 is molding yogurt cups using standard PET material. Due to the extremely thin wall design of the cups, the final product offers excellent transparency while remaining durable and shatter-resistant. Jenny points out that thanks to this design, the cups can be recycled and reused at nearly 100% efficiency—making them a strong candidate for sustainable packaging. The machine runs at a cycle time of 8 seconds with an injection speed of 300 mm/s. “But with optimized settings,” Jenny adds, “we’ve achieved up to 400 mm/s injection speed and 5-second cycle time—a significant leap for high-volume packaging needs.”

The TWII series as a whole spans clamping forces from 100 to 5,200 tons, making it one of CLF’s most diverse and versatile product lines.

It also features customized long-opening stroke, generous mold space, and a fast mold-open/close cycle—ideal for deep, long, or wide-shaped products like yogurt cups, takeaway containers, or household items. The TWII series as a whole spans clamping forces from 100 to 5,200 tons, making it one of CLF’s most diverse and versatile product lines.

Their slogan puts it best: “SEE IT ALL IN ONE SHOT.” From food packaging to automotive bins, the TWII series covers it all.

The Return to K

For CLF, this K Show appearance carries special meaning. “It’s our first time back after the pandemic,” Jenny says. “There’s nothing like being face-to-face with buyers and partners from all over the world.”

CLF sees K not just as a tradeshow, but as a global stage for conversation. Beyond the machines and demonstrations, it’s about exchanging ideas, capturing market insights, and watching new technologies emerge in real time. “This is where the plastics and rubber industry shines,” she says. “It’s where the future is being shaped.”

With a reputation for technical reliability and responsive service, CLF hopes visitors will walk away remembering one thing: “We’re your most dependable manufacturing partner.”

What’s Next for CLF?

Looking beyond the show floor, CLF is preparing to scale up on multiple fronts.

On the technical side, the company is investing in digitization, AI-assisted performance, and end-to-end automation integration. Jenny says, “We’re not just making machines; we’re helping factories run smarter.”

On the global side, CLF is expanding its footprint with new agents and service centers planned in key markets by 2026. They’re also building out an always-on virtual showroom and 24/7 online support platform to serve international clients across time zones.

As CLF approaches its 60th anniversary, the company sees this milestone not only as a celebration of its legacy, but as a renewed commitment to evolving with its customers—delivering smarter machines, closer service, and solutions that meet the needs of tomorrow.
